Olympia Brass Band
Founded in 1958 by saxophonist Harold Dejan, The Olympia Brass Band were a twelve musician group, including George “Kid Shreik” Colar and trumpeter Milton Batiste. They were a neo-traditional band that played parade marches, Dixieland standards, and funeral hymns. The Olympia Brass Band played locally and internationally and released several albums.
